The more mature big brother of Barolo Cascina, this wine comes from five hectares of forty year old vines that experienced an amazing growing season, ripe with cool nights and warm days, aged in Slavonian oak for two years. The palate opens with a complexity of flavours; dried flower and herbacious notes accompanying the small red and black berries, with a surprisingly lighter body, and building tannins. Like most big brothers, this character gets better with age, and a good decanter.
