Shakin’ Up: Infused Gin Fizz
Join Hydrator Lucy as she creates a summer-ready Grapefruit, Rosemary and Cardamom Infused Gin Fizz cocktail at home…
Being in a household full of inquisitive foodies, I thought it my duty to be head of inventive gin-based cocktails. In our garden we are lucky to have an abundance of fresh herbs growing such as rosemary, thyme and sage. I’d definitely recommend filling some pots with your favourite herbs for use in cooking and cocktails alike! I find these herbs are perfect for making tasty syrups to get a bit more creative in your drinks. On a sunny day recently, we happened to have some grapefruit juice in the house, which is a great flavour to experiment with in cocktails. The sour citrus notes can work beautifully when mixing. Using the garden and spice cupboard as inspiration, I chose rosemary, grapefruit and cardamom, mixed them all up and poured over ice with a bit of bubbles… turned out to be pretty tasty!
